Our history:  Beit Tefillah (House of Prayer) Messianic Home Fellowship was formed in 2001 CE, at the leading of the Ruach HaQodesh (Set Apart Spirit), by Terry Scruggs, Dan Payton, Jim Barfield and Gary Gardner.

We have also been known as Beit Tefillah Ami, My People's House of Prayer. We are associated with other Messianic congregations in Southwest Oklahoma and in Wichita Falls, Texas, and join with these other fellowships to celebrate the Biblical Holidays and try to meet together with them frequently.

We at Beit Tefillah commit ourselves to a continual pursuit of Biblical truth and understanding, and to reach the world with the Torah of Messiah.  We seek to turn our lives over fully to the Holy One of Yisrael, day by day; to commit ourselves to the lifetime of study of Abba's Word and to not compromise ourselves. We yearn for deeper spiritual insight, and for the coming of His Kingdom.  We commit ourselves to being scholarly, fair, balanced, understanding, and loving to others, treating those who do not agree with us as Messiah Yeshua would. We pledge ourselves to not insult others nor engage in lashon hara' (the evil tongue) or motzi shem ra' (spreading a bad name) but if we cannot reach common ground, then disagree with respect.

From 2008 - 2010, Zaqenim (Elders) Wayne Ingalls and Gary Gardner were the primary teachers in the fellowship.  In 2010,

Zaqen (Elder) J. D. Kimbrell stood up the Straightway Group as the teaching ministry to our youth.

We may not always agree on everything -- see the Leadership in the NT discussion on the teaching page -- but we do agree that elders need to be able to teach.

Following Sukkot 2010, Gary has been led to start and lead a Messianic study group in Altus, Oklahoma (Altus Bet Midrash) Facebook group:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/126566204120935/

(Note that the "Bet" in "Bet Midrash" rhymes with "gate," not "get").

Zaqen Wayne Ingalls is currently the primary teacher in the fellowship, with Zaqen J. D. Kimbrell stepping in as necessary.

About Us

Our Doctrine

Who We Are:

We are a Fellowship of Torah Observant Believers in Yeshua the Messiah.

 Our Doctrine:

Don't Believe a Thing that We Say.

Rather, Verify Everything in Accordance with the Scriptures.

Be a Berean.

As Even Shaul/Paul Submitted Himself and His Teaching to the Authority of the Scriptures (Acts 17:11), Who are We to do any Less?

We Submit Anything and Everything We Say to the Authority of Scripture.

If You Read or Hear Something that We Say that Does Not Align with Scripture, Please Let the Webmaster  know So that We might Examine Ourselves and Make a Determination if the Teaching is Correct or In Error.
